David Rider is a member of the PGA of America with over 22 years of experience teaching golf. Dave plays competitively in the Northern California Section of the P.G.A., has won 5 times since turning pro, and holds the course record at La Contenta G.C. with a career-low round of 61. As a teacher, he focuses on how to play the game and proper swing fundamentals. As a coach, his primary goal is to bring out the skills of each individual golfer that will help take them to the next level. Dave is a member of Callaway Golf’s Professional Staff.

Bryce Graddy joined the Oakdale team in January 2026. He spent most of his life competing on the baseball and his dedication to the sport led him to play collegiately at Cal Poly Pomona. His professional golf journey has taken him through several respected clubs in California and beyond. Beginning his career at Woodbridge GCC, he also found his way to the Pebble Beach area to work at Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula Country Club. Teaching the game of golf to all ages is one his biggest passions that he wants to maintain throughout his career. Bryce is an avid player who is always out on the golf course and currently maintains a +1 handicap and is a PING Staff member.

Vance Calton has been an integral part of the inside and outside services of OGCC for the past 14 years. Being a Golf Professional has been Vance’s passion and he became a full Class A member of the PGA in 2019. He is an experienced golf instructor and loves his position as instructor and mentor to the Acorn Academy Juniors. His desire is to help people play golf for a lifetime. Vance continues to stay active with current swing theories and is dedicated to making your golf experience fun. Vance is a member of Titleist and Footjoy Golf’s Professional Staff.

Mark Ackerman has been an intergral part of OGCC's outside and inside services for three years. Mark is currently enrolled in the PGA "Professional Golf Management (PGM)" program as a PGA Associate. With this, he has aspirations to become a Class-A Golf Professional. Mark is also a former athlete with experience playing various sports, specifically Baseball, Football, and Basketball. He uses his past experiences to compare the similarities those sports can bring to golf. Over the last five years, he has dedicated much of his time to the game of golf and staying up to date on the latest swing techniques. His goal is to simplify and make the game fun for everyone.

Steve has been part of the OGCC team since 2021 and has been in the golf industry for the last 15 years. Steves teaching philosophy is to keep the golf swing and the game of golf as simple as possible. Focusing on proper set up fundamentals and creating a repeatable golf swing, but most importantly making sure you as a player get the most out of your golf game. Steve is currently on staff with Cobra/ Puma golf as well as Srixon/ Cleveland golf.
